Information for supporters who donate by cheque

Most banks have now stopped using cheques. What does that mean if you support Coastguard by sending us a cheque?

We rely on your help to train and equip our volunteers and save lives at sea. But we totally understand that for many supporters it has become a bit more difficult to save lives at sea now that cheques are being phased out. The good news is that making the switch to another donation method isn't as difficult as you might think. You will find information to help you on this web page, and remember that we are only too happy to help. You can call Ann and the team on 09 303 4303 (press option 4).

There are a number of other easy, quick and secure ways you can still make your donation.

From your bank account

You can make a donation from your bank account in a number of ways. You can use internet banking, you can call your bank, or you can visit an ASB branch.

Please make your payment to our bank account Royal New Zealand Coastguard Inc, account number 12-3209-0434030-01.
Please enter your last name and supporter number as a reference.
If you don't know your supporter number then please use your last name and the first line of your address.

Donate using your credit or debit card

You can click here to donate by credit or debit card, securely, on our website
We take security very seriously and take all the steps we can to keep your information safe.
If you prefer to speak to someone, you can call Ann and the team on 09 303 4303 and we can help you make your donation by phone.
You can also send a donation form to Coastguard New Zealand, PO Box 649, Shortland Street, Auckland 1140.

Give a monthly donation

You can click here to set up a monthly donation from your credit or debit card, securely, on our website
Or you can call us on 09 303 4303 (option 4) to set up a donation from your bank account (by Direct Debit)
You only have to set it up once, but your donations can continue for as long as you want.
You are in control - you can stop at any time by contacting us.

Visit an ASB branch

You can make your donation at the counter.
Please make your payment to our bank account Royal New Zealand Coastguard Inc, account number 12-3209-0434030-01.
Ask the bank to use your supporter number as a reference (or if you don't know this, use your last name and first line of your address).
It will help your bank if you have a donation form but it's not essential.

Call your bank

Call your bank and they can help you make your donation.
