Coastguard receives significant national HR award

Auckland, 15 March 2024 – We are thrilled to share that Coastguard has been awarded the Learning and Development Capability Award (small to medium organisation) in association with Complete Learning Solutions at the HRNZ NZ HR Awards. This achievement is a wonderful recognition of the dedication and hard work of our team over several years.

This award recognises the significant impact of our training programmes on the safety and well-being of our volunteers, ensuring they return home safely after every call for help. It has been a tremendous team effort involving our project and training teams, volunteer instructors, skippers, and training coordinators, who have generously given up their evenings and weekends to develop and deliver on this mahi.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to our Learning Management supplier, Cornerstone OnDemand, and integration partner, Tomorrow's People, for their support. Additionally, we are thankful for the critical funding support from New Zealand Search and Rescue (NZSAR).

Thank you to everyone who has been involved in and supported this work. It truly reflects the spirit of teamwork and dedication that defines Coastguard.
