If you’ve got mates who enjoy being out on the water as much as you do, now’s the perfect time to invite them to become a Coastguard member. It’s an easy way to give them peace of mind on the water and avoid costly tows if the unexpected happens.

Every successful referral also puts you in the draw to win an epic summer prize bundle. Whether they’re boating, fishing, or jet skiing, membership means confidence and backup every time you head out. Bring a mate, share the support, and enjoy summer knowing you’ve got each other covered.

Summer, safety, and prizes, what more could a boatie want?

You must be an active Coastguard member for two years or more and aged 18 or over.
Invite a mate who is new to Coastguard to purchase a membership before 20 January 2026.
Membership must be purchased online or by calling our Customer Care team on 0800 BOATIE (0800 262 843).
The promo code BRINGAMATE25 must be used at the time of joining. If the code is not used, the referral will not be counted.
Each successful referral earns you one entry into the prize draw. There’s no limit to how many mates you can invite.
The winner will be randomly drawn from all memberships purchased using the referral code. Customer Care team will contact selected new member to verify the referring member’s eligibility and membership status before the prize is given.

How do you know who referred the new member?

We do not collect the referrer’s name during signup. Instead, all memberships purchased using the promo code are entered into the draw. If selected, Customer Care will contact the new member to confirm who referred them and then verify the referring member’s eligibility and membership status i.e., name, membership number, address, and date of birth.
How many entries can I get?

Each successful referral counts as one entry. There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make.
What counts as a successful referral?

A successful referral is confirmed when a new member completes their membership purchase using the correct promo code during the campaign period.
When does the campaign end?

Referrals must be completed before Tuesday, 20 January 2026.
How and when is the winner drawn?

After the campaign closes, Coastguard will conduct a random prize draw from all eligible entries. If selected, Customer Care will contact the new member to confirm who referred them and then verify the referring member’s eligibility and membership status.
How is eligibility checked?
Coastguard will verify that:
- the referred member is new
- the promo code was used correctly
- the referring member meets all eligibility requirements.

If a drawn entry does not meet the eligibility requirements, another entry will be drawn until a valid winner is confirmed.
Can the prize be exchanged or redeemed for cash?

No. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. Product warranties and support are subject to each partner’s standard policies.
Who manages prize delivery?

Prize distribution and handover to the winner will be managed by Coastguard. Prizes will be delivered/sent to you within 2-3 weeks from the prize draw.
Do partners guarantee products?

Product warranties and fault management follow the relevant partner’s standard warranty terms.
