Vessel Information

In December 2012 Dunedin Unit took possession of a second hand vessel purchased from Coastguard Waihi Beach, a 8.5 metre Protector vessel that was dedicated and re-launched as Dunedin Rescue on 3rd March 2013. Funding for the vessel was provided by Lion Foundation, Otago Community Trust, NZCT, Bendigo Valley Trust, Alexander McMillian Trust, Air Rescue Services, Southern Victorian Trust.

Hall Bros. of Dunedin have kindly donated a 4WD tow vehicle to enable us to launch our rescue vessel.
