Coastguard Waiheke was formed in 1990 as a response to growing concern over marine related accidents and mishaps around Waiheke Island, some of which ended tragically.

Initially created as a rescue arm of the Waiheke Boating Club, we soon grew into a separate Coastguard unit, and have been proudly associated with the New Zealand Coastguard Federation since 1997.

Meet Us/Training - rostered crews train on the water every Sunday and classroom training takes place on the 4th Tuesday of every month. The Committee meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
