Voting now open for the Young Volunteer of the Year Award
Young volunteers are our lifesaving future.
Volunteering is a big commitment, especially for those starting their careers, starting a family, or studying.
That’s why each year we hold the Coastguard Supporter Young Volunteer of the Year Award, to recognise our extraordinary young volunteers and to give them the opportunity of a lifetime at Outward Bound – an outdoor challenge and adventure, showing people their full potential.
Warwick Bayne from Coastguard Wellington was last year’s winner. He went on a 21-day Outward Bound course to further develop his skills and leadership.
“It’s pretty humbling to be recognised,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity to be able to go to Outward Bound, and it’s awesome that Coastguard supporters have given me the chance to go.”
Now it’s YOUR chance to choose this year’s winner by casting your vote today.
